Here is a wonderful
note from Trek’s Adoptive Family
4/3/07
- He is doing wonderfully and we feel so lucky to have him in our family.
He is such a sweet dog! The first 12 hours were hard, he was very skittish and would not even go onto
our back patio, let alone inside the house. He warmed up to my 3 year
old first, and them me, and now feels comfortable
coming in and out of the house as he pleases. I had a meeting last
night (my husband was home and he had the front door open) and when I came
home, both dogs were in the front courtyard. My female just stretched
and was like “Hi Mom,” but Treck was very excited
to see me and was jumping up and down and waging his tail. I am very
proud of Treck and how far he has come. I
want to thank you and Liz, b/c I know that he would not have progressed so
fast without you two. I am just letting Trek do things at his pace.
He slept the last two nights on the couch b/c he hasn’t found the
courage to venture down the hallway where all the bedrooms are, but I am
sure that that will come soon. We just love him so much and look
forward to getting to know more of this great dog and his gentile
personality.
Thank You!
Alexis
PS-Trek had his first encounter with a cat. He seemed very curious,
but my cat puffed up and hissed at him…..he now knows who is boss.
4/13/07 - Trek is really coming into his own and starting to enjoying our family….he fits in GREAT, like he has
always been with us. We love him and are incredibly happy with our
new member! He runs through the house now like a seasoned pro and is
constantly playing with our female. Thanks for walking him at Pet-a-Palooza!
